Hey everyone!

I had a pretty awesome meeting today with a friend of mine, Alex, who is the founder of an organization here called SAGA (Students Against Global Apathy) http://www.ualberta.ca/~saga/. We were talking about using various technologies including Web 2.0 for communication within and between organizations, as well as between orgnizations and those they're trying to reach. It really geared me up to dive right into planning the Change that Clicks workshops...and I'm hoping that someone(s) from SAGA will be able to help me out with various parts of it.

We were also talking about interactions between organizations in Edmonton. It was inspiring to me to be talking about organizations helping each other, supporting each other and collaborating together, and some ideas came up that I'll try to incorporate in any Web 2.0 for Social Change workshops i do in the new year.

Anyways, I guess I'm really focusing in on technology now with these two workshops, and with school and exams suddenly over I'm feeling energized and excited to get things done! Hope everyone's doing well and enjoying the holiday season.

Hey team!

This is just a superquick post to share some info on a fun event happening in E-town. There is a march ending at the legislature building on December 7th for the climate change day of action. Alberta's tar sands have been compared to Mordor from Lord of the Rings...which for those of you who aren't as big of a lotr geek as I am is basically a dark barren land where there isn't any natural stuff (trees, grass, animals) anymore. The theme of this march is therefore lord of the rings. It's called March to Mordor: Climate Change Day of Action. They've got some fun posters going and they're generally creating a pretty good buzz. Just thought it was a fun thing to share!

Take care!
